God's word, the truth.

Romans 3:4, God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightiest be justified in thy sayings, and mightiest overcome when thou art judged. In essence,the word of God speaking to you always. It is not past tense at all. That is why it is more accurate to say, "God says", instead of "God said", because He is still speaking to you. Consider 2 Corinthians 4:18; it elucidates the difference between a "fact" and "truth" 2 Corinthians 4:18 While we look not at the things  which are see, but the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. The things which we can see, smell, feel, touch, teste and hear, are subject to change. Take for instance, a feeling of pain in your body ( before being prayed for ). It is just a fact that you are feeling pains; it is not truth. The truth is Matthew 8:17 and 1 Peter 2:24, "Himself took ( your ) infirmities and bore ( your ) sicknesses and by His stripes ( you were ) healed".
