Your being nice can only imply love when it is not deserved. If a man buys a gift for his rude wife, it implies love because she does not deserve it. If a woman treats her rude husband with respect and continues to show him kindness in spite of his rudeness to her, it is also love. In true love, no matter what either of the couple does wrong, the other will forgive and reciprocate by doing good. The love would cover all the wrong doings. That is why the Bible says love covereth all sins ( Proverbs 10:12 ). The sacrificing action is not based on his or her spouse's merit. This actually makes it impossible for such marriage to break up even when only one of the couple understands love, because he or she will continue forgiving and doing good no matter how long the other other continues offending him or her. Love is not having an emotion or a feeling towards somebody. Emotions can accompany love but love is a sacrificial action for another who does not deserve it.
